Zwangerschapsfoto's / Maternity photoshoot

Zondag zijn John, Huub en ik naar de duinen gefietst om, toch nog, wat foto's met Huub en mijn buik te maken. Ik wilde het eigenlijk eerder, als ik er nog niet erg walrus-achtig uit zou zien, zo rond de 33 weken. Maar er kwam telkens iets tussen. Vorige week bijvoorbeeld: stond ik helemaal opgemaakt en geföhnd klaar, krijg ik spontaan buikgriep! (zeer verwarrend, buikkramp als je al zo ver in je zwangerschap bent)
Zondagmiddag kwam het er toch nog van! Na vlug de camera ingesteld te hebben en wat instructies aan John te geven, lukte het om wat foto's te maken. Huub was nogal enthousiast (lees: beweeglijk..) en ik ben nog steeds niet heel erg op m'n gemak voor de camera, maar ik ben blij met het resultaat. Toch nog gelukt :)

Last sunday John, Huub and I went on a short cyclingtrip to the dunes, because I really wanted to take some pictures, before the baby is born. I actually wanted to that earlier in the pregnancy, when I didn't look too much like a whale. But every week there was something up, like last week, I was ready to go! when I got a stomach flu... (Really confusing when you're almost due)

Sunday afternoon everything worked out anyway! After I explained to John what I wanted, he took lots of pictures of Huub and me. I'm very pleased with the result. It worked out anyway!

65 jaar!

Vandaag was de 65e verjaardag van mijn schoonmoeder Wil. Voor haar hadden we een fotoshoot gedaan. John, zijn broer Rick, Huub en ik. Van de foto's heb ik een collage gemaakt en op hout laten drukken. Erg mooi met een warme uitstraling.
Vanmiddag hadden we een brunch om het te vieren en gaven we het cadeau. Ze was er erg blij mee!

Today my mother-in-law celebrated her 65th birthday. We had a little photoshoot for her. John, his brother Rick, Huub and I. With the pictures I made a collage and had it printed on a wooden board. It turned out beautiful! This afternoon we celebrated with a big brunch and we gave her the present. She was very happy with it!

There was a great party at the beach at night. Nancy, Frank and I agreed that is was time to party for me too. So I've put camera away and partied like it was my best friends wedding :)

Looking back on this day:

First of all it brings a big smile on my face! It was the best day!

Second: I was sooooo nervous, and usually that blocks me. It did in the beginning, but then I saw some pictures on my screen an I thought: I NEED to make better pictures!! And this is the only day you can do that! So I did a checklist in my head: What kind of light is this and how do you set up your camera for that? What kind of filter do you put on your camera? Because I was so busy with this I 'forgot' that I was nervous and then suddenly I was having fun!

I'm very pleased with the result and so are newly weds.

But, of course, there still is a lot to learn :)

My best friends wedding: Part III

... and part III (one to go) The actual wedding! It was in a lovely little church in Heiloo. Nancy is from Castricum and Frank is from Alkmaar, Heiloo is in the middle of that. Great choice!

It was a beautyful ceremony, with lots of music (their both in a musical-perform-group, that's where they met) and time to congratulate them and have piece of delicious cake or a cupcake (made by Taarten op Texel)
